Protecting Human Rights in the Context of Large Movements of Migrants and Refugees

We are very excited to announce a side-event on the margins of the United Nations Summit for Refugees and Migrants.

Time and place:
Tuesday 20 September 2016
10:00-13:00 | Room 12 | United Nations HQ New York

This event is organized by The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM) and the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations (CTPSR) in collaboration with the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants and co-sponsored by the Government of El Salvador.

The event aims to engage in a multi-stakeholder discussion on strategies to protect and promote the human rights of all migrants and refugees in the context of large movements. We will also be presenting some key findings from the MEDMIG project.

Kindly note that during the high-level segment of the General Assembly, all external guests are required to register, including those with annual passes. Please email katharine.jones@coventry.ac.uk to book your place by the 16th of September.
